These are the products we use and sell to get our huge tomatoes in the
heat. They work together to make our tomato plants stronger, make the
tomatoes bigger and keep the plants insect free. This combination of products
have kept our plants virus free, or at the least, reduced the effects
of viruses on our plants to the point that there is no serious damage
to the plants or fruit. Leave out using one of these products and you
won't get the same results, that's a promise. They work together.
However, we expect that you will follow the growing method in the book,
and if you do, and you don't get 2 months of rain, wind, etc. and you
experience similar growing conditions as we have, , , (which are not real
great in the desert, by the way), you should have a great crop of big
Hawaiian Tropic tomatoes.
We don't sell the fertilizer at this time, but you should
be able to purchase this locally. Just be sure to use an NPK ratio of
8-10-3 or 5-10-5, which is a good tomato and vegetable fertilizer for
all your fruiting veggies (as opposed to leafy veggies which need more
nitrogen).
You'll save almost $4.00 this way, not a lot, but this is to encourage
you to get what you'll need all at once to grow them the right way. Sometimes
people will buy only the book just to have to come back at a later date
and get the seeds, mulch and other stuff they can't find elsewhere and
they incur another packaging and handling charge. We want to help you
keep your cost down.
You'll get "Growing the Tomato In Las Vegas In Terrible Dirt
and Desert Heat," a 2.5 oz package of Amazing
Kelp, a 5 oz. package of Die Bug!,
a 5' x 16' package of our Silver Reflective Mulch,
and a pack each of Hawaiian Tropic and Green
Grape Tomato Seeds. Plus, we will include our choice of another
package of tomato seeds we grow here or are testing for heat
tolerance (3 packs of seeds total).
If you have a preference on the 'our choice' package of seeds,
send us an email after your order has been placed (so we can match the
two) and we'll do everything we can to honor your preference. Write your
name in the email as it appears on your order.
