Slam Dunk Easy Desert Gardening was written from what I learned in my garden. This is real brown knees gardening information that has worked for me year after year in the hot Mojave Desert. It's not a compilation of research papers or snippets taken from garden books authored by gardeners who live in a different climate. I am able to grow anything I want to eat in my desert garden; Beans, corn, cucumbers, eggplants, huge melons, okra, peanuts, peppers, potatoes, squash, huge tomatoes and this is only some of the warm season veggies - the cool season veggie list is more than twice as long. I grow onions, carrots, turnips, beets and more - and so can you. I decorate my landscape with beautiful lettuces used as a border plant; broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and spinach are nestled among the dormant winter daylilies - interplanting gives me a continuously green garden.
